The AltRider Universal Highway Foot Pegs are CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum billet and feature a deep knurling to provide optimal traction for your boot. The highway pegs mount to any 7/8 inch (22 mm),1 inch (25 mm), or 1.25 inch (31.75 mm) bar using AltRider's custom cast 304 stainless steel clamps, to create enough clamping force to prevent pegs from spinning on the bars, and utilize a ball detent to keep footpegs stationary whether folded in or out. The pegs can be position at any angle to customize the fit on your bike and increase your comfort. The highway footpegs are bead blasted and finished in a clear or black anodize, then laser etched with the AltRider logo. All mounting hardware is included.

7/8 in / 22 mm = (1 inch (25 mm) clamp and rubber gasket) Fits bars under 1 inch (25 mm). Some European bands use 22 mm such as Outback Motortek, Wunderlich. Generic rubber gasket will need to be trimmed to fit your specific bar dimension.

1 inch / 25 mm = Fits 25 mm bars most European brands use. Touratech, BMW, KTM, & some segments of AltRider bars.

1.25 in / 31.75 mm = Fits bars that offer real protection, some segments of AltRider bars for larger bikes.

PLEASE NOTE: Shock Heat Shield is NOT compatible with the 2024 models. KTM has added another oxygen sensor after the CAT and that sensor interferes with the fitment of the heat shield. We are working on an updated heat shield but I have no ETA at the moment.

Keep the heat out of your 790 shock with our heat-shield. A cooler shock improves your suspension performance and extends service intervals.

In order to meet Euro 5 emissions, KTM mounted a large catalytic converter on the 790. We're all for lower exhaust emissions but the CAT is located directly under the rear shock. The CAT can be several hundred degrees under normal bike operation and heat from the CAT increases the shock temperature. When the shock oil is overheated it goes through thermal breakdown. This process changes oil's viscosity which can lead to increased wear on moving parts and poor suspension performance referred to as heat-fade.

Our aluminum heat shield is TIG welded and ceramic-coated. It mounts between the bike's CAT and rear shock to lower the shock's operating temperature. Less heat from the CAT means the shock oil stays cooler, service intervals are extended, the effects of shock heat fade are reduced.

We've received lots of questions about the 790 ADV-R shock failures and the relationship to catalytic converter heat. Camel ADV is not a suspension shop but we believe there are issues with the ADV R shock's internal parts as well as excessive heat from the CAT. If the problem were heat alone, the S models would be failing too but they don't seem to be or at least not in the same numbers.

Whether you have a 790 ADV-R, 790 ADV-S or are running the WP Pro components, keeping excessive heat out of them is critical to good suspension performance and longevity. However, our heat shield will not fix the ADV-R's underlying shock issue.

Riser When in a seated position, a rider’s bent knee naturally puts the angle of the foot pointed down 90 degrees from the lower leg, while a standing position creates a straighter leg and raises the angle of your foot to a more horizontal position. Using the OEM brake pedal, there is no way to keep the correct brake control position when both sitting and standing. With the AltRider enlarger and riser combined, there are now two levels in which to engage the rear brake, putting your foot in optimal position regardless of riding position. As every rider is different, there are two riser heights available depending on your riding style. For those needing additional customization, risers can also be swapped out.

Enlarger The ever-changing terrain of off-road riding means your entire body is constantly moving and adjusting. SW-MOTECH has manufactured this extension for brake pedal made of milled aluminum. It is suitable for original KTM motorcycle brake pedals.

SW-MOTECH manufactures these extensions from high-strength milled aluminum alloy; they feature a black anodized surface and a stainless steel step plate. For optimal ergonomic adjustment, the increase in the brake pedal step can be adjusted in two stages of 22 or 27 millimeters.

The extension for brake pedal is ideal for off-roading: it enhances the original brake arm tread and guarantees a safe, controlled use of the brake. The extension makes it possible for the contact surface to be both broader and higher. That means the extension for brake pedal offers better safety and better control over the rear brake.

When off-roading, you often alternate between seated and standing positions. When standing, the angle of your knee changes, so your foot cannot put as much pressure on the smaller pedal. Thanks to the raised contact surface, your foot is angled more sharply, so it can reach and control the brake arm more easily, even when standing. There are two height settings.
