Outback Motortek Crash Bars - Yamaha Super Tenere 1200

One of the biggest advantages of Outback Motortek's crash bars system is the all around 27mm diameter tubing that rests on 5mm thick steel mounting tabs and offers reliable protection for fairing, radiator and other parts of the engine.

The design is based on the philosophy that less is often more, hence we created a compact, sturdy set of crash bars that do not reach far away from its mounting points. This system perfectly complements the sporty, aggressive lines of the Yamaha XT1200Z Super Ténéré.

Compatible with 2010-2023 Super Tenere.

Features
  • Quality 27mm/1.06″ steel tube with 2mm wall thickness
  • Torture tested – we don’t release crash bars that we don’t brutally test on our ADV bikes.
  • Less is often more. We didn’t try to cover the whole entire bike with crash bars that look like a cobweb. The Yamaha XT1200Z Super Ténéré models have very few tough mounting points, thus it makes more sense to create one solid and compact crash bar that stays close to the few mounting points instead of being far spread out that results in an overly flexible and “soft” structure. It will do more damage to your Yamaha XT1200Z Super Ténéré! Our compact and tough crash bars are the only way to go here to truly protect your Yamaha’s expensive and fragile parts.
  • Powder coated – combined with sandblasting it’s a killer combination to protect your product’s surface. No frills and tough just like your ADV/Dual Sport bike!

3 of 5 Good crash bars, but not all holes align properly March 18, 2022
REVIEWER: GJ from Quebec
The bars look very sturdy and would offer great protection, without adding too much weight to the bike.

The right hand side installation went well, but the left hand side was a complete PITA to install. I read after that other customers had the same issue where it was impossible to align all holes (even using A LOT of force). I ended up filing one of the holes that I could force into place. Be careful I read some stripped the small bolts on the radiator side because they couldn't get it in the right angle. Looks like their manufacturing gig is a bit off. If it doesn't fit from the get go, just file the holes to allow you more play. Also don't be surprised, these come without instructions, but they have a video on youtube. If all holes aligned it would be one of the easiest crash bars installs I've seen.
