Outback Motortek Crash Bars - BMW F750GS/F850GS

Another Drop Tested set of crash bars! Keeping your F750GS or F850GS intact is very important for you. Hence we designed a sturdy, yet beautiful structure and we tested it for you.

Outback Motortek crash bars offer protection for the lower parts of the side plastic panels below the tank and radiator protection. It also acts as a shield for the stator and clutch cover.

Compatible with F750GS and F850GS models. Not compatible with F850GSA.

  • Quality 27mm/1.06″ steel tube with 2mm wall thickness – any low quality steel tubing BELOW THESE SPECS will be crushed when your 450lbs bikes crashes into the ground. Our crash bars will take the beat!
  • Less is often more. We didn’t try to cover the whole entire bike with crash bars that look like a cobweb. The BMW F750GS and 850GS models have very few tough mounting points, thus it makes more sense to create one solid and compact crash bar that stays close to the few mounting points instead of being far spread out that results in an overly flexible and “soft” structure. It will do more damage to your F750 or F850GS! Our compact and tough crash bars are the only way to go here to truly protect your Triumph’s expensive and fragile parts.

Thank you, Holly, for helping me with the problem and subsequent prompt delivery. The crash bars fit superbly. I had a bit of trouble, initially, because I didn’t know how to remove the plastic panel, above the engine, on the left side of my 850gs-the YouTube video didn’t show this. I figured it out, though. If I was to do it over, I would order the black bars. I find the silver ones not quite silver enough-they look very light grey/white. Overall, good product.

These crash bars seem very robust, welds are of good quality, price is reasonable for what you get. Looks nice installed, not excessive but should provide good protection if needed.

No installation instructions were provided, and the YouTube install video from Outback Motortek has some pretty significant errors and omissions, most critically the torque spec on the T55 engine to frame bolts.

The menagerie of different fastener types is a puzzling design philosophy.

Overall I'm very happy with the bars, and would purchase again. Just be prepared to figure out your own install. In addition to the tools mentioned on the video, have a T25 bit, 8 mm socket, and 17 mm wrench handy.

Following Outback Motortek’s YouTube video made installation a breeze.  The quality of these crash bars is top notch and they came with stickers.  How can you beat that?   Dualsport Plus has been great to deal with as well.

I just received my new crash bars and am very happy with them. I finished the install and they look great, the components are of high quality steel and are very sturdy.
The crash bars are a great value and will provide perfect protection for the engine area of your bike.
