Constructed of heavy-duty mild steel, SW-MOTECH crashbars are designed to provide maximum protection, optical integration, and high-quality fit and finish.

All components are protected against corrosion by sandblasting and powdercoating. High-strength frame mounting points. Black.

Constructed of 26.9mm outer-diameter mild steel tubing.

Fits with either original plastic skidplate or SW-MOTECH's aluminum skidplate (sold separately).

The infamous KLR650 "Doohickey" (the left-side balancer chain tension adjuster) is accessible with the crashbar installed.

Includes two metric M8x70 replacement bolts to upgrade your original subframe bolt strength (located between the rear end of the tank and the front end of the seat) from grade 8.8 to grade 12.9 - stronger is better!

NOTE:
If the crashbar will be used with an SW-MOTECH centerstand, please request the free additional hardware kit "for use with centerstand", which includes four additional M8x40 hexagon socket head screws (4x part SC.00.08.040.01.912).

Happy-Trails third generation engine guard-highway peg combination (EG-3). The EG-3's one inch steel base tube adds additional support and the highway pegs give the rider many more choices in riding positions for greater comfort mile after mile. The highway pegs provide bonus protection for the engine side cases, and they easily fold-up when not in use.

They build the EG-3 as light as possible with the strength KLR rider’s need. Side case protection comes from the one inch steel base tube and the top loop of three-quarter inch tubular steel. The metal screen helps keep small sharp rocks from cutting away at water hoses and electrical wires and also offers protection from roosted rocks. Unlike other engine guards that transfer the impact to the engine case, the EG-3 is built to take punishment.

Important Note: The EG-3 combination is not compatible with the stock plastic skid plate. The stock plate must be set aside when installing. For this reason and to maximum your protection package you may wish to select our custom skid plate in either black anodized or bright anodized aluminum.
